The National Pastoral Leaders and Planners Conference will take place from the 4th to the 7th of September 2017 in Melbourne.

This conference will be an opportunity for clergy, pastoral associates and pastoral planners to reflect upon the signs of the time and move forward with hope.

Guest speakers include sociologist and author Hugh Mackay AO, American theologian Professor Richard Gaillardetz, theologian Dr Maeve Heaney, Australian journalist Geraldine Doogue and Archbishop Mark Coleridge.

Our keynote speakers and workshop presenters will enable us to:

  • Consider the church in Australia’s secular context, wherein we encounter belief, unbelief, belonging, abandonment, rejection and credibility;
  • Grapple with the church’s tradition in light of our identity and within this secular culture;
  • Imagine how we might respond anew and with integrity within these challenging times.

What better time to envision new life than Melbourne in spring!
